Google Pixel 10 Launch: An Experience Marked by Technical Challenges
When the Google Pixel 10 arrived in the hands of users at the end of August 2025, the excitement for its release was quickly dampened. Not everything went as smoothly as expected, as various reports began to emerge revealing a series of drawbacks affecting the experience from day one. Some users highlighted problems with the camera that did not deliver the promised performance, while others denounced an annoying flickering on the screen that affected visual comfort when using the device.
What's Going On with the Pixel 10 Display?
Google made efforts to improve the quality of the display, focusing on mitigating the OLED flickering effect, technically known as PWM, which often causes discomfort to those who are sensitive to eyesight. To this end, a function was integrated to raise the PWM frequency and reduce PWM flicker. However, despite these advances, users continue to face difficulties that have not yet found a definitive solution.
The Difficulties with the Camera and Software
The camera is another area where the Pixel 10 presents challenges. Several owners have had to resort to constant reboots or activating safe mode to identify if any apps were causing conflicts and affecting the device's performance. These technical conflicts lead to frustration, as one of the Pixel's main draws has always been its camera and its ability to capture high-quality images without hassle.
Delays and Distribution Problems
It is not only the hardware that has presented drawbacks. The distribution of the new device also faced difficulties. While the Pixel 10 Pro and its XL version arrived in stores on August 28, some models such as the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and its accessories suffered delays that postponed their availability until October, complicating the arrival for those who were waiting for them.
Conclusions of a Complicated Premiere
Although the Pixel 10 introduced significant technical improvements and generated great expectations for its arrival in August 2025, the reality has been complex. Hardware failures, especially in the display and camera, along with problems arising from the supply chain, have impacted the initial user experience and raised doubts about the stability of the device. The brand now faces the challenge of correcting these situations to regain the trust of its customers and reaffirm its place in the competitive world of smartphones.
